On your travels do you utilize membership Campgrounds like Passport America, Good Sam or do you stay at public ones? National first service basic camping or Military fam camps? Or maybe you do a combination of them. There are also free spaces like Walmart, casinos and city parks.
We are affiliated with the military so we use Campgrounds on military bases. I also love the small city parks we find on www.freecampsites.net .

We were camping in a small town in OK a couple of years ago and found a beautiful site right on a small lake with water and electric hookups for just $5.00 per night! We met some great people and got to watch local baseball games.
I find a lot of commercial Campgrounds are just too expensive. We also love to volunteer and enjoy many benefits from doing that. Especially at NFS areas. Most don't have hook-ups unless you are a paid employee or volunteer. We spent two weeks last year enjoying the black hills and didn't pay any money to camp. If you know that area at all, it is expensive to stay as it's a huge tourist destination. We volunteered three days a week for our space with water and electric at Pactola reservoir then got to play all around the area the other days.
How do you enjoy seeing the sites ?
